I felt like, during the time I was able to spend at Weapons of Mass Creation, I barely scraped the surface of all the awesomeness that was happening there over the past weekend. I felt very proud to have been asked to be a part of it. It's clear, judging by the fact that I spent most of my time sitting on the floor of a packed auditorium, that WMC Fest is really taking off and I can't wait to see how much better it is next year. The event was an inspiring one for sure.

During his talk, Nate Utesch said something along the lines of "participate in something that moves you to create." I think that's going to stick with me for a while.
love your bears.
ReplyDeletedidn't even know you were there. i actually am a co-owner of ilthy where the art show was. would've been cool to meet you!
ReplyDeleteBummer!
ReplyDeleteI was bummed I didn't get to meet you too! I was there with Alie Smith, and my friend Catherine. Once I got a seat in the auditorium on Saturday, I didn't leave until all of the speakers were done. Same with Sunday. Who knew it would be that crowded?! I met Charlie last Fall, I think, at the Akron Me Without You show, and then once again at a friends wedding. It was nice to be able to spend some time talking with him at Catherine's apartment though during the weekend. He's a nice guy. Anyways, I hope we can meet someday soon, Cheryl!
