I thought this movie was completely wonderful and visually stunning. I love, love lights and light bulbs and seeing this mass structure of lights just spread out across the sky of this city was amazing to me. I felt that while there were some holes in the story it was very well written and didn't allow me to predict everything that was going to happen next. It was free of cheesy computer animated effects. And Bill Murray played one of the main characters perfectly well.
My mind keeps trailing back to different images and themes from the film. I desperately want to read the book now, if only to discover a bit more about the City of Ember. I want to go out tomorrow and buy it but I fear I will spend the whole day reading and not finishing any projects.
I agree. This was totally lovely. We need to find a way to decorate for Halloween Ember-esque!!
