Woven bench tutorial.

Our bench project was featured on Design*Sponge today and received a lot of wonderful comments and compliments! I'd like to say thanks, it definitely put a smile on my face. There also seems to be a number of people asking for a tutorial. I didn't document this process with photos thoroughly enough to be able to explain it completely, so, I'm thinking that I will work on a smaller project in this same technique with step-by-step photo instructions. Look for it here in the next month or so!

    1. No, I never got around to making a tutorial. Time got away from me.

  8. I love your bench! Just curious if you could tell me what kind of fabric you got and about how much? I'd love to try this!

    1. Thanks! Most of the fabric was remnants that I had at home left over from various projects. I also made a few trips to the remnant bins at JoAnn Fabrics to get additional colors for cheap. I didn't use any one specific kind, but I have to say that cottons tend to work the best. Anything with a stretch or bulk to it was more difficult to work with. As far as how much I used, I'm not really sure. I ripped it all down to about 1" strips before I twisted them together.
